Helical Spring Seals
High-load spring energized seals for static and low-speed dynamic sealing applications
Hansealing manufactures custom helical spring seals using in-house spring energizers and application-specific polymer jackets. Seal geometry, spring design and materials can be configured to suit static, vacuum, gas and other demanding sealing requirements.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Helical Spring Seals
Hansealing manufactures helical spring seals using a continuous coil spring as the energizer inside the sealing jacket. The spring provides continuous loading to maintain sealing contact, making this design suitable for applications requiring higher spring load, reliable static sealing, or controlled low-speed dynamic sealing.
Our helical spring seals can be supplied in different seal profiles, spring loads, materials and dimensions. Because we manufacture the spring energizer in-house, we can control the spring geometry and load as part of the overall seal design rather than treating the spring as a separate purchased component.

CONSTRUCTION
Helical Spring Seal Construction
A precision polymer sealing jacket is energized by a continuous helical spring. The spring provides the sealing load while the jacket interfaces with the mating hardware. Hansealing supplies helical spring seals for a range of sealing configurations and operating requirements.
The sealing jacket provides the primary sealing interface and can be manufactured from materials selected for the operating temperature, pressure, media, friction and wear requirements.
The continuous coil spring provides the preload needed to maintain contact between the sealing lips and mating surface. Different spring loads and materials can be selected for different applications.
Seal dimensions, spring dimensions and lip geometry can be produced according to customer drawings, existing seals or application requirements.
